"Not only a tremendous musical talent, but also a raw honesty, a sincere righteousness." —New York Times
Southern Crossing is a ruckus vaudevillian cabaret, based on Ain't That Good News, full of roaring music and raw, fun storytelling. Vermont native Abigail Nessen Bengson and her husband Shaun McClain Bengson are joined by acclaimed local artists, Annie Nessen Voorhees and Nate Wallace-Gusakov. As the Bengsons travel, Southern Crossing constantly evolves. They trade songs and drinks for new stories from the personal to the divine, and shift the work to reflect where they've been, and each new community they're in through vaudeville, American folk, German Weimar, and rock and roll. They are storytellers, clowns and town criers, and they're coming to your town.

National Endowment for the Arts.
