VT Ballet's Nutcracker

Vermont Ballet Theater is pleased to announce the fifth season of its magical and merry production of the Nutcracker Ballet, this year featuring guest artists from NYC’s American Ballet Theater, including VBT alumni Devon Teuscher as the Sugar Plum Fairy. Performing for sold out audiences, Vermont Ballet Theater’s lavish full length production of the Nutcracker is fast becoming a Christmas tradition for Vermont families. Witness Tchaikovsky’s classic score come to life through dance with beautiful choreography by company director Alexander Nagiba and performed by VBT’s talented young dancers and ensemble cast. Children and audiences of all ages will be mesmerized as Herr Drosselmeyer casts an enchanting spell, taking the audience, characters and story along for a magical ride. Watch as he brings dolls, toy soldiers, mice and snowflakes to life and guides Clara and the Nutcracker Prince to the Land of the Sweets where amusing, charming and glamorous characters await. This local, professional production has it all- beautiful sets and costumes, charming children, dancing dolls, mischievous mice, mystifying magic and graceful ballerinas.
