Everyone knows Neil Simon’s beloved Tony Award-Winning comedy, “The Odd Couple,” featuring the unlikely pair of roommates, Felix and Oscar. After many years of encouragement, Neil Simon went back and penned a female version of the show, set in the mid-1980s. This time around, our odd couple is Olive Madison, a successful television producer who’s more than a little careless about the state of her apartment and Florence Unger, a highly meticulous ”woman in transition.” Like the male version, these two are great friends and complete opposites, thrown together when Florence and her husband separate. Add to the mix four Trivial-Pursuit-playing friends and a couple of attractive (and single) Spanish brothers who live upstairs, and you’ve got a chaotic and hilarious clash of styles and cultures - not to mention a little airborne linguini.
