Cranking out a sound steeped in the blues with elements of rock, folk, country, and jazz, roots ensemble The Heckhounds play growling, driving tunes that blow by with the rhythm of a fast-moving freight train. The band has self-released two studio cds as a trio and just released a third live cd with the addition of Dan Romeo on piano. Come and dance as The Heckhounds fill the Amy E. Tarrant Gallery with crazy blues harp, slide guitar, soulful vocals, and bass-heavy grooves. This special performance coincides with Hal Mayforth’s exhibit in the gallery, Subversive in His Little Own Way.
