“There is a remarkable freedom in their musical interaction.” —The Berkshire Review
Renowned violinist Soovin Kim returns to FlynnSpace for this latest installment of The Beethoven Project. Kim provides background and context for Beethoven’s piece in the first half of this performance. Following a brief intermission, the quartet plays straight through, allowing the audience to apply their newly-acquired insight. Admired and sought after for both its fresh interpretations of the classical music canon and its championing of works by 20th and 21st century composers, the Borromeo Quartet has been hailed for its “edge-of-the-seat performances” by the Boston Globe, which called it “simply the best there is.”
