Presented in conjunction with Saint Michael’s College music professor William Ellis, the Flynn is honored to present a showcase series of local New American musicians at our intimate black box theater.

For over five years, Walinja, a Burlington-based Somali Bantu band, has partnered with the Vermont Folklife Center’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program to teach skills to other members of the Somali Bantu community.

Presented in association with the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs through the UVM President’s Initiative for Diversity.
