Natalia Zukerman wowed Lane Series audiences when she opened for the California Guitar Trio a few years ago. A first-rate bottleneck blues guitar player, she has a smoky and expressive voice that she uses to great effect on her own songs as well as covers of blues and folk classics. Joining her is the consummate singer-songwriter Peter Mulvey, who was the top pick for an acoustic guitarist when we surveyed our audience after Willie Porter’s concert last year. A phenomenal performer with huge energy and a quirky take on life, Mulvey has toured throughout the world and developed a loyal and devoted following. Most recently, his touring career took an interesting turn, with his “Look Ma, No Gasoline” tour: a 10-day, 300-mile concert tour of southern Wisconsin, which he completed entirely by bicycle.
