The Nicholas Cassarino Ensemble—pianist Joe Davidian, Gabriel Jarrett on drums, bassist Robinson Morse, Bryan McNamara on alto saxophone, Cassarino on guitar and vocals—celebrates the release of its new CD, Live, Raw, and Uncut, featuring five of Cassarino’s original compositions. The group will perform standards, favorites from the CD, new works, and originals by McNamara. Vermont native Cassarino has studied in FlynnArts’ jazz combo classes and with local music mavens Dave Grippo, Paul Asbell, and James Harvey. “Nick has all the tools needed for a long and successful career in music. Lightning in a bottle,” says Grippo.
