“Ms. Arocena unites cosmopolitan musicianship with deep roots.” —New York Times

Investing the entirety of her soul into each note, singer Dayme Arocena sets her Afro-Cuban harmonies in neo soul and jazz, her songs the sound of these genres expanding. Exploratory and audacious, Arocena’s direct influences are too brilliantly blended to identify with specificity. Her collaboration with Canadian saxophonist Jane Bunnett and Maqueque earned the 2015 Juno Award for Best Album in Jazz. Her debut solo album, Nueva Era, was selected by NPR as one of the 50 best albums of 2015.
