A unique chance to engage with a mixed ability, cutting edge dance company from the United Kingdom during their first visit to the US in over five years. This engagement is possible due to the Flynn’s participation in a major social justice movement led and supported by the Ford Foundation’s Art for Change program, focused on presenting and developing artists with a disability. Through conversations and hands-on activities, learn more about how you can embed best practices for inclusion in your classrooms, in and through the arts.

The themes for this year’s professional learning opportunities are EQUITY & EXPRESSION. At each session, we address how these core values can be brought to life in and outside of the classroom environment and the unique role of the arts in providing equitable experiences for all learners and empowering students to express themselves through activities that support the development of transferable skills. All of these sessions are directly connected to Student Matinees and are a unique opportunity to meet and learn from the national and international performing artists in residence here at the Flynn.
