Dear LCCMF Friends,

Our 11th festival will focus on Groundbreakers - visionary composers of the last 500 years who dared to stretch the musical limits of their time.

Composers such as Beethoven and Debussy ushered in new eras with their daring use of dissonant harmony, Haydn and Wagner expanded the instrumental forces available to them, and Bartók and Stravinsky demanded a rhythmic precision and complexity that has become the norm today. Schoenberg turned the tonality of the musical world upside down and Cage made the world rethink what we consider as music.

Please join us for Groundbreakers, a revelatory week that will give all of us a fresh appreciation for the specific ways each of these geniuses changed the world for future generations!
